Hi,gurus here.
I am not familiar with the MM module and the snapshot concept of inventory management although I have the 3.x implementation manual of it.
Are there some documents to introduce the business background and design logic of snapshot?
What I mean is the good document which is more focused on the business logic instead of just codes, which is for people who are novice to MM module, which is help human to understand the entire design ideas and the reason.
Thanks, for a lot.
Hi Nice,
In BW Scenario, the most important cube to load data to is 0IC_C03 or you could create your own cube, but make sure the non-cumulative key figures are included. Here we load data from three data sources namely 2LIS_03_BX, 2LIS_03_BF and 2LIS_03_UM.
2LIS_03_BX: used to extract the INTIAL stock data from MM Inventory Management for initialization to a BW system.
2LIS_03_BF: used to extract the material movement data from MM Inventory Management (MM-IM) consistently to a BW system.
2LIS_03_UM: used to extract the revaluation data from MM Inventory Management (MM-IM) consistently to a BW system.
Both of BF and UM are delta update while the BX is initial update.
the concepts in BW are likely
1. get the intial stock for calculating the stock, pretended as beginning stock -> we call it marker.
2. delta update from MM for material stock/quantity
3. delta update from MM for material stock value
any on-going data must be compressed with marker update (you could find this option in your inventory cube).
this will end up in marker update/ stock update.
Hope it helps
