Short Dump on creating a new Consolidation Area

Having the following errors when trying to create a new Consolidation Area. Have tried searching for these errors but they seem fairly generic and nothing specific to SEM-BCS consolidation area.

Runtime errors: OBJECTS_OBJREF_NOT_ASSIGNED

Exception: CX_SY_REF_IS_INITIAL

Runtime errors: ASSIGN_CASTING_ILLEGAL_CAST

Exception: CX_SY_ASSIGN_CAST_ILLEGAL_CAST

Appreciate any input.

It was not necessary to delete ConsArea or a databasis. The proper databasis regeneration would be enough. This forum contains almost several hundreds of such issues. Try to find them by using keywords like "databasis generation inconsistency".

did your data basis save properly? have you saved a consolidation area in your settings and subsequently deleted it? looks like something didn't properly save. redo creation of data basis and saving and choose a new name, so it wouldn't reference something you may have deleted.

The new consolidation area I created saved with an error. I have since deleted the data basis I created for the new consolidation area. I then tried to delete this new consolidation area (it has a bolt arrow icon) but that is when I get a short dump.
