Hello Gurus,
Nowadays, my end users log into SAP (using SAPGUI) entering a user and a password. I want to start using SNC so as they don´t have to enter their user and password every time they want to access a SAP system. I have made all the configutarion steps and it works fine but I would like to ask a question.
One of the mandatory configuration steps is to edit every user in transaction SU01 in order to make the SNC available. I have found that with report RSUSR300 is posssible to do it for all users (so I don´t have to manually edit every user...). The other configuration step is to edit the SAPLOGON entry with "right buttom / properties/Network/SNC Name". I have also done it in tow PCs but I don´t know if there is any possibility to do it only one time and then distribute it to all the PCs of the end-users. I have checked thata file saplogon.ini (which saves all the saplogon entries) does not save this aspect...
¿Any idea about how to distribute this SAPLOGON configuration to all the PCs?
Thanks in advance
Regards
Hi Sistemas,
you can copy the below files from the path mentioned for windows environment.
1. saplogon.ini file from location C:\WINDOWS
2. hosts file from location C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc
3. services file from location C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc
distribute them to all the users who need to access the same SAP systems which are there in your SAP Logon GUI (saplogon.ini) and ask the other users to copy/replace these files in their systems. Please note please make changes to the existing file names in case they need to undone the changes.
Thanks,
Vinod

Hello Sistemas,
saplogon.ini-->SncChoice and SncName
if all ussers have the same entries in their saplogon.ini, its easy. Simply ditribute the whole file.
If they have different entries, you need a script to update the server specific entry on users PCs.

Thanks you for your answers. I am going to edit the and options and distribute the file 'saplogon.ini' to all the PCs. I would like to ask you one more question regarding this aspect.
I have installed SAPLGON 720 and the 'saplogoin.ini' is placed under the directory "C:Users%USER%AppDataRoamingSAPCommon". ¿Is there any option to change it to file "C:Windowssaplogon.ini", which is the directory used in SAPLOGN 710? If it is possible, I would not have to change the path of the users, too.
Thanks again.
Hi,
yes you can change it in the saplogon.....
Click on the corner top/left->options->SAP-logon-options->configuration.
Also there is an environement variable which needs to be checked, as the file is searched in a specific order. Pls check note 1409494 to get more information....

Thanks!!
I have seen it and it is possible. Editing the line and then restarting the SAPLOGON worked!!
If you try this option you will have to do it in every PC. I have found that there is also another possibility to do it only once. I have defined the environment variable 'SAPLOGON_INI_FILE' and I have distributed this rule to all the PCs of my Windows environment. The final result is that all users are going to use the file that I want them to use.
Thanks four your assistance. Hope my experience helps other people.
