Can Workbook allow for drilldown if Excel cells are using formulas?

Dear Experts,

There is a complex query required that I find it can only be met by using a workbook referencing a query result in another sheet.

But I not sure can a workbook allow for drilldown without messing up the excel formulas set in the cells like KF columns or header?

I am not using hierarchy in the rows. Just plain characteristics.

The columns are FY outside the KF Columns which can vary in number of columns depending on how many FY entered by user.

Hope to get some clues.

If you are referencing specific cells then you will run into problems, but if your excel formulas refer to entire columns you should be able to work with this... good Luck

    • I don't know anything about BOBJ, but another thing you could do if you are creative is to use macros to find an area used in a formula and then have the macro reference this "named range".. I have a user that also has to readjust his formulas when he makes changes to his material hierarchy as well. Good Luck.
