Hi,

There is what you can do.

1. Create a BOM for the material. This will automatically set the validity till 12/31/9999

2. Now, created a ECN no. using CC01

3. Go to CS02, enter ECN (Change no.) in the selection screen and then go and delete the components.

This way the BOM for that material will be valid for required dates.

Hi Praveen,

well thing is the created one is all ready been got a standard date from the system. But you have another two options is:

1) You can create a new alternative BOM if there are any changes like adding of extra components or

2) In the BOM which can be called as ECM BOM.

Here comes the important thing in SPRO-> Production-> MasterData---> Bill Of Material (OPPP).

Here in OPPP you can maintain the BOM validity dates from to end OK.

I hope it helps you any questions pop me again.

To use validity dates for BOMs you need to employ ECM (engineering change master); nevertheless, the common usage of validity is "from" not "to". The end of validity is determined by the start of the next change.

You can also use dates of validity for production versions (if you use them). Those include a BOM and a routing.

Praveen,

Create the follow-on BOM that will be in effect after the conclusion of your validity period.
