Next Inspection date based on UD date

Can any one help me, How to define Next inspection date ie Recurring inspection based on Usage Decsion date ?

If the next inspection date is to be based on the UD - date , use one of the UD follow up action to over ride standard next inspection date. Need to develop Function Module and assign it in the config as UD follow up action.

Shall we use SAP notes 954646 to resolve this requirement.
