Asset Class - Sub class

Hi,

There is requirement as to display asset in balance sheet as below

Main Asset Class - Building 10000

Sub Asset Class - Building Class 1 5000

Sub Asset Class - Building Class 2 5000

I know in SAP there is not sub class.

Can someone help me with a work around?

Can we use Asset super number or group asset?

We are already using group asset for IT depreciation.

    Hi

I did not try before but I have some Idea, if it will useful u can,

In asset master , under allocation tab evaluation group used for mostly reporting purpose - by using Evaluation group we can segericate assets locatiton, area, category etc., which business required. It is only for information purpose . When management need segment wise report that time we can take evaluation group as a segment .( in asset accounting segment concept is not available) We can able to change evaluation description according to our business requirements.

Create one sort varient with evaluation group field

    Define sort varient

    T.Code: S_ALR_87009120

Running asset balances report (asset balances by asset class)

    T.Code: S_ALR_87011964
