Dear Colleagues,
Our company is planning to implement SRM. I have seen one of the SAPu2019s documents that SRM 7.0 Ehp1 requires Ehp5 at ERP system but our ERP system is running on ERP6.0 Ehp4. Does that mean we have to upgrade our ERP system to Ehp5 to be able to use SRM 7.0 Ehp1?
Thanks in advance
Melih
Hi,
No, you need not to implement EHP5 on ERP system. Check SAP note 1388258. Please find below extract from this note:
Technology driven software updates:
o Implementing Enhancement Packages for central SAP NetWeaver 7.0
systems does not require to implement an Enhancement Package for a
connected SAP Business Suite system, if this system is at least
based on Business Suite 7.
o This rule applies to SAP NetWeaver Portal, SAP NetWeaver Business
Warehouse and SAP NetWeaver PI with no known restrictions for the
SAP Business Suite 7 and succeeding Enhancement Packages in
concunction with SAP NetWeaver 7.0 and its Enhancement Packages.
o Upgrading your central hub to SAP NetWeaver PI 7.10, PI 7.11, PI
7.30 or to SAP NetWeaver Portal 7.30 or to SAP NetWeaver BW 7.30
does not require implementing an Enhancement Package for a
connected SAP Business Suite system, if this system is at least
based on Business Suite 7.

Hi Sunny,
I have got the idea exactly in the same spot. Please have a look to https://websmp103.sap-ag.de/erp-ehp => Introducing SAP Enhancement Package 6 for SAP ERP, especially page 11 and 12. The figures look like in order to use SRM 7.01, ERP system should be 605.
Thanks
Hi,
The presentation tells about the future of SAP Business Suite and it also shows what is there for each Business Suite system like SAP ERP, SAP SRM etc. So, if SAP is releasing EHP6 for SAP ERP then there is corresponding release for SAP SRM i.e. EHP2. But it does not means that you cannot use SAP ERP EHP4 with SAP SRM 7.0 EHP1.
This is clearly mentioned in the Landscape Design guide.
Thanks
Sunny
