is it possible for a business partner to perform mulitple roles (sold-to, bill-to etc) in the same time?
if yes, how can this be defined in the system? when creating a BP, I have to select one specific role (sold-to, bill-to).
Thanks,
Tiberiu
Hello
No, you can't do that...but I don't understand why you need to do it.
In business partner customizing, you can decide for a certain role which fields can be seen or hidden. If you need certain fields in your BP role (say) CRM000, just add them and you don't need to display both roles.

hi Joaquin,
thank you for your reply.
here is an example
I have a BP - say Shell local branch- which is a subsidiary of another BP - say Shell Head Office.
when I sell computers, I need BP Shell local branch to be the sold-to-party, and BP Shelll Head Office to be the bill-to party.
when I see cars, I need BP Shell local branch to be bill-to-party and BP shell Head Office to be the sold-to-party.
so in this case the BP needs to be either sold-to or bill-to depending on various criteria.
my question is: what role should I create the BP as? as my understanding is that I cannot create one BP in both roles sold-to and bill-to.
Hello
Your understanding is not correct
You must create the BP in both roles. Depending on the scenario you are handling, you can display either one or the other.
What you cannot do is displaying the BP in both roles. As I said before, in your project you must defne which fields can be seen or are hidden for each role, depending on your business needs.
Hope I made it clear
Joaquin
