DSO with overwrite mode

Hi all,

I have a doubt with dso in overwrite mode.

In source( source is infocube ) for historical data i have the following records

Key1( combination of Charact Key of DSO )

Key1 10

Key1 20

Key1 15

When i load the historical data from source to DSO as a full load ( the transformations are in overwrite mode )

how does the value after full appear in active data table of DSO

is it

Key1 45 or Key1 15

I know for every next delta load with same key the new value will be overwritten. but during the historical load with number of records with same key the value updated In single request in overwrite mode is the sum of values in all records or is the latest of the all records?

thanks & regards

Jana

    Hi ,

Since the mode is overwrite u willl get key1 15 . if u compress the request in the infocube and then run the full load then u will get the key1 45.

    Hi,

There is difference in loading data in infocube and in DSO, in case of DSO data will be overwritten as per the key combination defined by you.

So that for particular key combination you will always have only one record, but in case of infocube your Request dimension also becomes the part of Primary key and that is why you can see the same key record in multiple request with different value.

But if you do the compression then all the values will be aggregated and you will get only one reocord.

    Hi ,

Suppose u have 2 request, say R1 and R2 and in the first request u have 2 data with same key say k1 10, k1 20 then when u run the full load then the data will summarized in the infocube but where as if u have 2 same data which is present in 2 different request after running full load then to get the correct result u have to run the compression . but where as if u go to DSO then the data will be overwritten.

    Hope u got it,

    Regards,
