We have around 40 cost centres for which plan figures need to be uploaded. Is there any way where we can upload the cost element planning for all these cost centres at a stretch (i.e. rather than uploading the figures for the cost centres one by one for all the cost elements..).
Hi
When you use excel upload option you can store all the files in a folder and use the Folder Upload option to upload all files one by one
I still prefer LSMW over excel upload...

HI Ajay
in the folder upload option as you mentioned, Do I need to enter the cost centre-cost elements for each option in each sheet ? Please tell me how the system will take the each sheet consecutively ? In the layout creation, should I mention default parameters such as cost centre-cost elements ? What I am asking is for each cost centre, cost elements need not be the same. Then how can I mention the cost elements as default parameter in the system ?
Thanks for the inputs.

Use the standard SAP feature for doing this,
Create a layout in transaction KP34, you can copy from an existing layout like SAP all, ensure to put the integrated excel check on, and while you see the layout the system will generate the file description for it, you can download the excel layout as your upload template, that is across all the cost centers.
Make a note of the file description and keep the upload file that you have downloaded handy, in kp06 from the menu use
Extras-->excel Planning --> Upload
Select the file description tha toyu have made a note of, and upload the file with the filled data,
You should be able to upload it easily.
Please let me know if you neeed more clarity
Thanks
Naveen

While doing the excel upload, it is necessary that we should mention the default values ? I mean, cost centre, cost elements, etc. ?
if we mention the default parameters in the layout, I think we have to use the exact data in the uploadable excel sheet. Am I right ?
I want a general template to upload all the cost elements to the cost centres.
