capacity planning in the planning table MF50

Former Member

Hello every one,

I had a requirement where i had to plan capacities for planned orders. So I was planning to use MF50 so that i can also see periodically the requirements. Now how do i see the capacity planning situation in MF50? When I am clicking the TAB Capacity requirements planning I am not able to see the capacity requirements. I would like to use one transaction where i can see the material situation and the capactiy planning situation at the same place.

Sincerely,

Aji Kurian Mani

Dear Aji Kurian Mani ,

In Repetitive Manufacturing, the master plan is represented by the planning table. The planning table is a tool for operative planning and is used to plan the production quantities:

In a repetitive manufacturing environment, planning and control is usually carried out in a period and quantity basis. The layout of the planning table has been designed to support this requirement and is also based on periods to provide a very clear, easy-to-interpret overview of materials and production lines.

The planning table is the planneru2019s/MRP controlleru2019s most important tool for planning the production quantities. At a glance the planner can check production quantities, monitor the available capacity of the production lines and check up on the availability situation of the products produced on each line.

You can directly enter and change production quantities in the planning table. You can assign u2018non-assignedu2019 production quantities to the production lines or you can reassign production quantities to alternative production lines.

The only prerequisite is that you must create a valid production version in the material master record.

Thank you for your reply, but it still does not resolve the issue.

I usderstand the use of the planning table MF50. But when i am trying to access the capacity planning situation in MF50, I am unable to. see the capacity requiremets when i am trying " Dispatching" in the Capacity requirements header. Any possible reason why?

Dear ,

This is a standard behaviour in SAP that capacity data area would be greyed out and those fields gets populated automatically based on the Material data section assignment of capacity requirements to the production lines.

please check your master data

you need to assign your resource to the production line field of the production version( use transaction C223 or MM02 in MRP4 view to make this correction). Once the production version has the Production line assigned you should be getting the Capacity data in MF50.

Ram
