Need to change PO price after GR posted

Hi All,

At the time of standard PO creation the purchase info record price = 100 and hence the PO price = 100. Now GR posted for this PO and invoice not yet done.

Since the info record price changed to 150 and need to correct the PO price also to 150.

Can you please help me by providing the recovery steps and also what impact the change will have.

Hi,

What is the validity for the new price? Are the goods already received are to be valuated at the new price. If so, the vendor would have invoiced at the new price.

If that is the case, it is possible to change the price during MIRO invoice verification. There is no need to change the PO price as it may have release strategy implications/other authorization related issues.

The difference between Invoice price and PO price will be posted to stock account if the material is subject to moving average price control. Otherwise, the difference will be posted to a price difference account.

Hi Krishna,

You can definitely change the PO price at the time of doing MIRO,

1: if the material is in stock then

GR Entries:

Material Stock Accnt +X

GR/IR -X

The Price changes to X+Y

MIRO

GR/IR +X

Vendor Recon Account -(X+Y)

Material Stock Sccnt +Y

Hope you got this part,

Henceforth you can do the MIRO with the changed Price.

Its not possible to change the PO price after GRN has done. Please can cel the GRN posting and change the PO price according to PIR price and redo the GR. Thanking you.

technically it is possible to change the PO price at any time, even after goods receipt, e.g. to allow that an invoice can be posted that has a different price It just has not effect to the valuation of the existing receipt..

It is not standard practice to change the PO after the GR is done.

If you want to change the PO, amend the PO and it can be recorded in version management.

hi,

For this first do the reversal for migo 102 movement type.

after that you have to chanege the p.o price in me22n and save it then once agian make gr through the same p.o .
