Unable to display multiple lines in the email notification

Hi Experts,

We are working on the leave request WF using WS12300111.

We have a send mail step in which we are sending notifications to the manager and requestor.

When the requestor raises a leave request, he can type in his comments. We are displaying these comments in the send mail step of the appover.

concatenate 'Note from Requestor :' lv_reqtext into lv_request separated by space.

We have written the above code to fill up data into the container element LV_REQUEST which contains the value.

When we ruin SWI1, we are able to see the entire content. But when we are seeing the contents of the email, only the first line comes instead of the entire text.

We have displayed in the send mail step as the following :

&LV_REQUEST##&

. This is to get the text in multi lines with line break.

Could you kindly guide us on the same as to how we can get all the contents to come.

Cheers,

Belinda Clarke

    Hi,

Instead of making use of a mail step I suggest you to create a method for sending a mail by making use of CL_BCS class methods or standard SAP function modules. Because this gives you the felixibility and scalibilty .

Let say at later stage if you want to change the body of mail notification then you have to change the workflow. Instead of that try to create a Text element from SO10 transaction so that it can be extended very easily and no hassles with the workflow too

    Think about it
