PURCHASE REQUISITION ISSUE

Dear experts,

I am on ECC 5-0, I search on sdn but not get satisfied answer,how many maximum document types can be defined for purchase requisition & purchase order?

As the document type is a 2 character long field you are certainly limited to the maximum possible combinations of 2 characters.

if you use only hte alphabetical characters then it is 26 * 26

There are no limitations. But increasing document types leads to more complexity.

It comes under based on ur requirements and client specifications.Basically standard document types itself enough for all needs.

Hi,

For PO document types like UB,NB &FO are there. There are different kinds of POs. Depending upon the requirement can create the new document types by copying the standard SAP document types . Then do necessary changes. For PR also same case. Different kinds of POs are service PO, SUCONTRACTING PO, Consignment po, blaket order, return PO, STO, Third party PO &normal PO.
