Hi,

I took SAP (ABAP) training from an Institute in Hyderabad. However, I did not get any certificate for that. Am B.Tech (ECE) 2010 batch passout. Consistantly I achieved above 70% marks throught my 10th to B.Tech (ECE). Though I am searching for SAP jobs, they are all being posted for experienced ones. How to enter into a SAP (ABAP) job. Can anyone suggest me?

Hi,

Start reading here

then ask more precise questions.

Rather study on your own, I have heard that many "institutes" in India ask for much, but give nothing, so I cannot recommend you to continue training with them...

Hi

I am also a SAP Certified Associate. I have more than 3 years of experience in other technologies and I am a fresher in SAP ABAP. I am also looking for a job opportunity . The best thing I got from my job search is this blog. Please go through this.

It is about SAP FI, but the experience of the author is helpful for every other domain in SAP.

And

Search, contact and hire directly, reputable SAP consultants ConsultantBox. SAP Consultant Reviews Yo...

Community Resources- Websites - Career Center - SCN Wiki

And access SAP using Logon .

All the best..

Hi Sindhura,

As you have good academic record, you can apply for graduate hire positions. There are many

openings available for that( off campus / campus hire ).

As you gained  ABAP knowledge , once selected you will be placed in SAP project.

So start applying for graduate positions.

Regards

Suresh.

Dear Sindhura,

There are tweaks and tricks to find jobs for freshers. You academic percentages and achievements dont count anymore because they will check how good are you with SAP ABAP or the module you will be trading into.

1. Please dont look  for Tier 1 companies (like Infosys, IBM, or Whatever). They wont recruit freshers as they have freshers from college campus placements already. So start looking for start up or small scale companies.

2. While you are undergoing training, if possible work in some projects if you have any opportunity, you can add this as a value add to your CV.

3. Send your CV to the companies and follow up continuously with the HRs. ABAP as a fresher recruitment are on the run, so keep faith and keep trying.

4. While you search or google out jobs  use SMART search strings like :
Midsize Companies recruiting SAP ABAP and use search tools that Google has you will be surprised you have got so many amazing results matching your preferences.

5. Send your CV to authorized centers of SAP they may have recruitment and that happened in one known case of mine

6. Lastly, Prepare your CV as such you use all important keywords that the job description has, and each time you modify your CV  to keep important keywords highlighted in your CV.

Goodluck! and saying again ..

Keep faith on yourself...Things will fall in right place... Just die hard, work hard
and keep trying..!!!!!!!!

Aparajit
