Hi experts,
Here in Germany we want to implement DART as the solution for GDPdU. We have already prepared everything. But still we have question with the index.xml.
Is there any possibility to generate this index.xml automatically?
Problem solved. SAP AIS data does not need index.xml.

Hello,
I was wondering if you could advise me please?
We have a similar requirement where our German tax inspector requested a download from SAP in index.xml format.
Could you advise if and how you were able to meet this requirement from SAP?
We have DART implemented but not sure how this could be used to export data in index. xml format? Also it seems that this download of data should only be tax relevant postings. Can you advise if you would need to tick the option Tax Data only in FTW1A so that the egenerated fiel entries would be limited only to tax postings, or how to get DART to only report/generate tax relevant data?
Thanks for any advice you can offer.
Regards
Michael
There is a document specification from the third party audicon. I just followed the instruction inside.
Thank you.
I found that document and as you say it is in German. I translated it and to me it seems only like a technical specification of how the file shoul look. It does not have any guideline on how the file itself can be achieved on an SAP system. In addition there seems to be alot of confusion about what SAP system can deleiver and what the Tax Authority actually will accept. We will explore it further with the Tax Technical Team and/or SAP to see what kind of solution we can develop.
Thanks
Yes I saw that. The question is whether that is something that needs to be programmed/developed as some part of the DART tool. Or if it needs to be a new program developed in SAP that will extract the data like DART does but then outputs it in XML format.
From what I have seen SAP are saying that DART does not output it in XML format today and the reason is that there are no globally agreed standards yet on XML. They therefore are saying that the option 'SAP Audit Format' in DART should be used as the output format as this should be acceptable to the Tax Authority. However, this information may be old at this stage and, again there seems to be confusion about what is/isn't acceptable so difficult to know what approach to take.
