Hi APO Gurus,
I have a query regarding the system upgrade.
My client is using ECC and SCM as well.
They are upgrading ECC 6.0 with EHP5 (Enhancement Package 5). We want to know with this upgradation of ECC, do we need to upgrade SCM 5.0 (current system) to SCM 7.0.
After upgradation of ECC 6.0 with EHP5, will SCM 5.0 be insync with the upgraded ECC version.
In case we need to upgrade to SCM 7.0, then what kind of testing (Technical & Functional) has to be done after the entire landscape.
Request to share your ideas and knowledge on the same.
Regards,
Raghav

We are using SCM 5.0, and upgraded to ECC 6.0 with EhP4 in September of 2010. This caused us no major issues - we have been able to operate our SCM processes as they were before with very little changed, and no adverse affect to the business: our APO users would not know that we had upgraded to ECC, and some of our ECC users assumed we had upgraded SCM.
We have very little customization in our SCM implementation, which is, of course, a big help, but otherwise my only recommendation would be to ensure that testing is reviewed thoroughly to validate all ECC/SCM interfaces continue to operate as expected.
