Analysis for Olap Prompt Value for Dates is YYYYMMDD and Not User's BW Setting

We are starting to use analysis for olap and our users are expecting to enter date prompts in format MM/DD/YYYY but A-OLAP requires format of YYYYMMDD.

The bex query is on BW and the user defaults in BW for date format is

MM/DD/YYYY, but A-OLAP ignores.

Found notes specific to this issue that says the issue was fixed in BI4.0 Patch 4.3

ADAPT01637226, but we are on 4.1 SP6 and the problem still exists.

SAP KB 1754792 and 1761780 mention MDAS settings for HANA and we tried, but had no affect.

Opened an incident with SAP and going through the process. Anyone else using A-OLAP and figure out a way to use required date format or did you just give up and train users to use this odd date format?

Thank you Tammy. I did find that post and the problem is that AOLAP is not honoring the BW user defaults.

I heard back from SAP and they confirmed the current 4.1 SP6 release only supports the predefined format “yyyymmdd” when entering a date in prompt panel. Hoping we can get improvement in 4.2 support pack.
