Hello,
in Dashboard design, I cannot access the function "query browser". It's greyed out. I need this in order to connect my dashboard to a BW BEx query (or connection).
I have a full BO 4.0 client installation on my laptop with temporary license keys. I have the SAP GUI also with parameters for our BW 7.0 environment. We have a BO4 sandbox environment on a sever which I wish to publish to.
Please advise on how to get the query browser available in Dashboard design.
BR,
Fredrik

Hi,
I don't know why your query browser is grey but in order to connect to a BEx query you do not use the query browser. Instead you open the data manager (Ctrl+M) and create a new "SAP NetWeaver BW-Connection". There you're going to choose your BEx Query.
Attention: To use the dashboard with the data from the BW you have to publish the dashboard on your BW system, not on the BO4 platform.

Eric
Hi Eric,
When opening data manger I get no option of SAP Netweaver BW connection..
I hope I have installed the right tool. It's Dashboard Design Personal Edition (SP2) and I use a temp license key.
I can't seem to use the SAP connectivity functionality. There is a SAP header in the menu, but all options are greyed out and cannot be clicked.

Hi,
I entered another key (departemental version) and also executed Dashboard Design as administrator and now it shows the SAP connector. However, when creating a connection & picking a BEx query, the system (via a win 7 prompt) asks me for a user/password for the BICS connectivity to SAP BW system. The regular BW pw/user does not work here... Any ideas?

Fredrik
