Error: File Server Input is down while Export/Import the Unv from Desktop C

Hi All,

We have SAP BI 4.0 in Linux and installed the client components in Desktop. when we try to Import/Export the Universe to repository we are getting the Error: File Server Input is down and it's same with Webi Rich also.

We are suspecting the firewall is stopping the Data packets because the person who is working in the client environment is able to do these without any issues.

The main issue with PORTS and we are not at all sure which ports are required to be open.

If anyone has solution please let us help.

Hi,

chech the chapter "Working with Firewalls" from the admin Guide. You need to narrow down the Ports for your IFRS and OFRS. Other ports that need to be open are 6400 (CMS), 6410 (SIA), 8080 (Tomcat) and 8443 (Tomcat SSL if you use it).

Hi, We have verified and not sure and didn't get any clue which ports they use.

They use the ports you assigned during installation.

Tomcat ports are shown in tomcat's server.xml

The port set for CMS are in CMC > servers>properties of the CMS server.

The rest - simple follow instructions in the admin guide and you'll be OK.

Hi, We are able to import and export universes from client tools and recently we havechanged the CMS database to new one from that time onwards again facing the same issue.

Please let me know how this work?
