How can we restrict movement types that can be processed through migo?

How can we restrict movement types that can be processed through migo?

A separate role that has access for inventory take on

functions is desirable, and these could be removed from the

normal role for basic / simple receipting?

How can we acheive this?

    Hi Goel,

In the SU24, check out for MIGO if the Authorization Object M_MSEG_BWA is "YS", then with the help of the basis team you can give in the values for the given object as the mvt type that you want the user to be using.

    Hope it helps you.

In OMJJ there is allowed transactions for movement types.. But SAP themselves suggest to accept the standard setting. you may read the documentation before you venture into changing anything.

    Hi nhgoel,

It is possible by user authorizations. You need to give mvt type in the authrization .

    Authorization object : M_MSEG_BWE

and then mention Movement Type and link with User.

Best way to take help of Basis person. He will create role and authorization.

Do let me knwo if any furthur querry is there and do awards points:)

    Regards

    Mukesh

    • Hi,

You can do this with transaction code : OMJJ

Goto OMJJ select the check box movement type , enter the movement type for which you want to block posting thorugh MIGO

then on the left hand side double click on the allowed transactions then from the allowed transaction list remove the MIGO transaction and save the entry. after this system will not allowed you to do the transaction in MIGO for that movement type.

      regards,

It can be done through authorizations.

    Seperate the into 2 roles.

1 role with the authorization object and movement types allowed for normal role.

1 role with authorization object and all movement types allowed.

S_TCODE should be assinged and controlled for tcodes:

    MIGO, MIGO_GI, MIGO_GO, MIGO_GR

    Objects to reviewed:

    Material Documents: Movement Type M_MSEG_BMB

    Goods Movements: Movement Type M_MSEG_BWA

Goods Receipt for Purchase Order: Movement Type M_MSEG_BWE

Goods Receipt for Production Order: Movement Type M_MSEG_BWF

    Goods Movements: Storage Location M_MSEG_LGO

    Material Documents: Plant M_MSEG_WMB

    Goods Movements: Plant M_MSEG_WWA

Goods Receipt for Purchase Order: Plant M_MSEG_WWE
