Web Channel Hosting OCI Compliant Catalogs?

Up until CRM6, this was an available solution for our requirement.

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm60/helpdata/EN/46/fafb7a53002ecde10000000a11466f/frameset.htm

Sales Order Processing One-Step Business in CRM Web Channel

"You can use this business process to integrate your CRM Web Channel Web shop into another customer's procurement system, for example SAP Enterprise Buyer Professional (SAP EBP). In doing so, you enable the customer to purchase goods from your catalog using their own purchasing systems, which are fully integrated into their financial and organizational systems."

Does anyone know if this is still available in the CRM7 Web Channel? We had this working in our CRM4 setup to one of our customers SRM system, but need an OCI compliant solution in a new platform.

Hi,

this feature is also available in SAP CRM 7.0 , In B2B & B2C channel .

"Use of external Product Catalog with materials and product catalog

maintained in SAP system (using OCI)"

That does not pertain to my question. I am aware we can access someone elses external catalog via OCI and even include it in our B2C/B2B Web Channel sites.

I need to be able to PROVIDE an external catalog TO another user via OCI so they can order FROM our B2B catalog via their SRM system.

Hello Mike,

We can do this. For that you have to do the settings in XCM. There will be a division for OCI integration. There you can specify the external catlog and other stuff.

Please check the XCM configuration setting please let me know if you face any issue there.

Thanks and Regards

We do not even have a sandbox set up yet for CRM7

I still do not know if you are talking about the same thing I am. We want to offer our B2B webshop, via OCI to our customers that would then access them and display them in their SRM system as an external catalog.

I do not want to offer someone elses external catalog on our webshop...which is what it sounds like you are suggesting.

Hi,

were you able to use the CRM catalog in SRM portal? is the CRM catalog a OCI compliant?

Do we also need to make any developments for transferring CRM catalog data to SRM EBP shopping basket?

Any input is welcome.

Thanks in advance.

We gave up on this as we never received an answer.  Sorry, but you're probably better off asking for yourself (if you haven't already) in a new thread.

We might review again in the future, but would still need to know about OCI or other form of "Punchout" ability first.  Some of the latest changes finally offer most of the items on our wishlist  from SAP, before we switched to an in house solution.

Hi Mike,

In WCEM Catalog works with MDM and not traditional CRM or ECC product catalogs. Also I'm not sure you can only use Catalog in WCEM without other modules like login, ordering etc?

Hi Mike,

In CRM 7.0 SAP provided only catalog application which can be accessed at http://server:port/catalog/init.do. This application is used in CRM webui for ordering products from product catalog.

However you can customize this application to be OCI compliant.

This may not be a solution but it may be starting point for you.

Thanks Sateesh.

Any idea about WEC (Web Channel Experience Management), specfically for ERP backend?

I worded my initial post poorly as I hadn't realized they'd created a whole new eCommerce application.

We are evaluating options of going CRM2007 (CRM6) vs. WEC with ERP backend

Since the docs are readily available for CRM2007 stating it can be done, that's our backup plan, but really hoping WEC can do what the first ECO could do.

I know many of you already saw this thread, but since I still don't have an answer, thought I would see if anyone might have an answer by now.
