HI experts,
PI System : 7.0
DEV , QAS and PRD.
SLD is central. Only 1 SLD for all DEV, QAS and PRD.
Technical System : test_ts_dev
Business System: test_bs_dev
I am using Export and Import method to transfer Integration Repository and Integration Directory.
I have maintain only 1 Business System which is currently used to at the DEV.
After i export and import to QAS i am getting error at Integration DIrectory.
Question: How many business system should i maintain in SLD?
Question: Should i do any config at the Transport Group?
Please guide me any experts because i am very new to the Transport concept of PI system.
Thank you in advanced.
regards,
S.Saravannan
Proceed as follows..
1. Create technical & business for all 3 enviornments.
2. Define Transport Targets for Dev & QA business systems
3. Soon after step 1 & 2, login to ID and goto menu Environment-->Clear SLD DataCache
Now import your bojects into ID.
Note: Step 3 is needed only when you create any new business system in SLD.

Hi Mickael,
Currently my SLD is Central SLD where i already created Product, SWCV, Technical and Business System.
In this case do you think i need to import the SLD again?
My intergration Directory at QAS still pointing to the Central SLD.
I have not done the transport group yet.
Hi Raja,
As per your idea, i need to create the Integration Directory manually again at QAS and PRD?
Hi Sarvesh,
I think i need use the Transport Targets and i will do reseach on the Transport Targets.
If anyone have concern, please do reply me.
Thank you,
S.Saravannan
HI,
You have to register all Dev ,Qual and Prod Business Systems in SLD and it is not posible to create Transport targets in this case, manualy you have to configure ID part.

Hi,
Before to import your BS, did you import the Technical System?
Before to import your Technical System, did you import the SWCV ?
Before to import your SWCV, did you import the Product?
if no, you have to respect a sequence for the import: from highest to lowest level
if answer is yes. then In your BS defined in Dev, do you have a transport Group which says "BS_dev -> BS_Qua"?
If yes, both BS have to be defined in Qua SLD, else your transport link... has no link.
Moreover, when you import something, normally you have a detailed error message which explain you what is missing.
>> Question: How many business system should i maintain in SLD?
no limit I think.
>> Question: Should i do any config at the Transport Group?
Only if you want that your BS_dev becomes automatically a BS_Qua after the transport.... so for me, it's yes
regards.
