New vendor search

Dear Experts :

As per as our requirement ,we are developing a custom program in old version of SAP so that it pick all newly created vendor and interface them to New SAP Version.

I found field in LFA1 i.e ERDAT (Date on which the Record Was Created

Now my issue is how program will identify that which new vendor is created.And will pick only those vendor only. ?

you said you develope a custom program, so it is you statement that you enter to check if the ERDAT is bigger than a fixed date hard coded in the program or a date entered in a parameter on the selection screen.

Why do you need a custom program instead of using standard ALE functionality?.

just do download all vendor numbers from LFA1 table which are created after a certain date and send them with BD14 (multiple selection) to the new SAP system

Its in our requirement as interface is already exist also program also exist for different purposes .So Client asked to build similar kind also its not a One time activity ,it will be like anytime vendor will create in Source system it need to be in target system.So i think interface can perform well in this case. Please correct me if I am wrong.

In ALE scenario you can setup the use of change pointers, and then automatically send IDOCs to the new system

Change pointers will be created for any change or creation of a vendor.

You can set a filter if you to distribute only newly created vendors
