Gap in footer / bottom margin

Hi,

I've got the following problem with Crystal Reports:

I'm going to customize different sales reports for a customer. The customer has its own corporate design, so I have to fill the footer with different corporate information (e.g. bank account information, adress, etc.). In the page setup I have defined "0" for the bottom margin. I'm also sure that there is no emty area in the footer section. But in the SBO preview (and also in the printed paper sheet) is a margin with round about 1 cm in the footer section (so at the end of the page) where normally the corporate informations should be placed.

Is ist possible that there is an un-removable margin in the bottom of the page (or in the footer section) or could this also be an SBO problem?

I am using SBO 8.81 PL 09 & Crystal Reports 12.1.0.892 / 12.3.0.601.

The SAP Support has no answers and referred me to this forum...

Unfortunately this is a "helpful feature" of Crystal

You can get around it to some extent by using an unlinked subreport, placing your corporate info in the SR and formatting it to grow.

Make the SR as thin as possible and also the Page Footer.

It will still take up some space but not the 1cm you are currently losing.

Hi Ian,

thanks for your quick answer.

I've forgotten to write that I've used a subreport in the footer (with format to grow). The subreport & the page footer are unfortunately as thin as possible...

Have you checked your printer settings. No matter what you put into the report if your printer default has 1cm margins that is what you will get.

Yes, I've also checked the printer settings from different printers.
