When we try to do recording . after entering the data in Basic data view and click on Accounting view ...it is coming out of the recording .

if any thought to overcome this error will be of great help .

we have this problem is quality system , where as in development ,we do not have this problem .

Recording MM01 or MM02 can be a real pain, if it's not too late I suggest you switch to standard LSMW object 0020 and program RMDATIND instead. More complex at first, but it works.

    • the view selection is dynamic, you did not select the accounting view, you just recorded that you selected the e.g. 9th view from top.

depending on other views the accounting view may be on position 9 for one material, but on postiion 11 for another material.

Thats why static record should not be used for dynamic screens.

You can try recording the old maintenance transaction MMZ2, here you have fixed boxes to select the view, so you get over this dynamic view selection pop-up

there are even other methods for recording to get to the screen you want, but I dont want to list it here as it was often suggested and I am the opinion that you should use SAP given standard improt methods like batch input, IDOC or BAPI.

As you see SAP has given 3 alternative methods for material master, so there is really no need to do a recording.
