Greetings,
We have activated required components on ECC EHP5 side we installed lately, and deployed the required ESS packages to our 7.3 portal installation. The "Overview" page of ESS is the only component we found after deployment, and we have a problem with navigation.
Once we access the "Overview" page everything goes well, but when we try to navigate to some specific ESS application (let's say personal profile), we receive an eror - Page not found or not available.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!
have you assigned correct role to teh user?

Greetings,
Yes. I have deployed the correct 1.50 ESS package to the portal, and assigned the required role.
Once I run the ESS menu application in a standalone mode (not integrated in the portal) it works well, only when I integrate it into the portal I receive "Page not found" error.
I think I have not maintained some parameter on ECC side, something that links the ECC navigation to Portal navigation, maybe the PCD URL or something like that. Maybe I am missing some basic configuration on ECC side.
Please let me know if you have further ideas?

We had a similar problem as described in the OP. Our issue was that the users were assigned "portal roles" in the consumer instead of the roles from the Producer. When we change the user profile to have the producer roles instead of the consumer then the error went away.

All the ESS applications have be re-written in ABAP Web dynpro for EHP5, and the Homepage framework has been replace by a LaunchPad WDA application which uses object based navigation (OBN), therefore most of the iViews are not visible on the role, but are defined as business objects.
Are you using the standard SAP roles? You might want to check the Busines Objects used.
