Pass variable values from multi planning area to a planning area

Dear all,

I had created basic and multi-planning area, and in the basic planning area I had created a characteristic derivation for Market Group which is an attribute of Market.

In my planning level in the basic planning area I restricted the Characteristic market with a variable VMARKET.

Another variable of the same name is used in the multi planning area.

The variables I have in the planning folder in which my planning function resides are from the multiplanning area i.e I have another variable called VMARKET in the multi planning area.

When I run the planning function can I pass values from the variable VMARKET in the multi planning area to the variable Vmarket in the planning area.

In other words is it possible to pass variable values from a multi planning area to a planning area.
