Delimit Employee Subgroups

Is there a way to delimit employee subgroups or remove them from the drop down lists in PA and OM?

We have a ESG we no longer want to use or be available but we do not want to delete it as it has been used historically.

Hi,

So perhaps you can remove the entry in table V_T503Z so in this case it will only remove the entry from the assignment to the employee group and not the employee subgroup itself. Hope it helps,

Thank you VERY much for your replies. Ted I am going to try out your suggestions. However, because I have to wait for business owner input, change request approvals, etc, I will have to wait to let everyone know exactly what solution worked.

I wanted to update everyone to let you know what I did to solve this situation.

I went to Table T503Z and assigned the ESG I no longer wanted to see in the drop down list to a country other than our USA (10).

So the checkbox for USA was turned off and I randomly turned on the checkbox for Germany.

Not sure of any implications, but it works and it leaves past assignment to that no defunct ESG intact.

Employee subgroup can't be delimitted (similar to obsoleted personnel area). As you can't delete obsolete employee subgroup due to historical data, a few things you can do :

1. Change text on this subgroup to something like 'DO NOT USE ESG' . The obolete ESG wil still show up on drop-down,

and user can still select this.

2. Implement 'Search Help Exit' for search help H_T503Z to exclude obsolete ESG from showing up. Note, user can still

manually key in this obsolete ESG.

3. Implement user-exit 'EXIT_SAPFP50M_002' to reject if obsolete ESG is used after specified date.
