Regarding Splitting of Forecast Requirement for MRP

Hi,

1)Can anyone suggest me in which scenario/context , we need to use "Splitting of Forecast Requirement for MRP" configuration (tcode.. OMDG).

2) What are the other mandatory configurations required along with this configuration?. I mean to ask if we configure "Splitting of Forecast Requirement", do we need to configure anyother IMG Tasks?.

3) What are the possible values of "Splitting Indicator" Field in this configuration.

4) Does this configuration is integrated with any other modules. if yes, what is the point of integration.

Thanks in advance.

    Aditya,

Forecast splitting is useful when the forecast is produced in one periodicity (e.g., monthly) but you wish for it to be disaggregated automatically into a finer periodicity (e.g. weekly).

In order for you to be able to use this feature, forecasting in general must be implemented.

I suggest you read online help to further familiarize yourself with this functionality.
