Issue Management and Service Desk

Hi Gurus

Please can you let me know what is the differene between Service Desk and Issue Management in Solution manager.

I have configured both Service desk and Issue management in solman 7.0 with EHp1 SPS25 but I dont see any difference. Then why should I use issue management when Service desk is so useful?

Also what are the :

1.Benefits of Issue management Vs Service Desk

2. What qualifies to be created as Top issue.
