Secondary Authentication in ESS portal

Dear Experts,

We have implemented ESS/MSS in the portal in that configured SSO from portal to back-end system through logon method.

there is a requirement after login into the portal when clicking into the ESS tab(role) system required for additional authentication(user id/pwd )password will be a DOB(Date of Birth of the user.)

Is it possible? if possible how it will be achieved?

EP version : EP 6

ECC version : SAP ERP 2004

    Hi,

That is possible in a number of ways - one of them is by implementing a custom login module. Every login module will have an associated authentication scheme. Change the authentication scheme iView property for all the ESS iViews to the new authentication scheme. You will also need to change the par file associated with frontend property in the auth scheme to accommodate the new field.

    Hope it helps,

    Prathamesh
