Hi
I have installed the Portal 6.0 SP2 (version is 6.0.2.4.1.Enterprise_Portal_Service_Pack_2 and Operating system is Windows 2000)
I have created a user to login to the portal (I have disabled the user SAP*) and I can login to the portal with my new user.
The problem is that I cannot login to the portal if I try through another PC that is connected to the network. I can see the initial login page of the portal but when I type the ID and password I don't get logged in (it redirects me to the same page)!!! If I try to give wrong ID or password I get an authentication error!!
I don't think it a network problem as I can see the initial login page of the portal.
Any ideas?
Regards
Dimitris

HI Dimitris,
We are running EP 6 SP10 and encountering the same error. Our Portal URL is working on a few machines but on some machines it keeps loading the first page. Also observed the same on different machines but same users.
Could you tell us what kind of DNS configuration did you do to correct this behavior?
Thanks,
Hi Dimitris,
I am sorry, my error is slightly showing a different behavior as compared to yours. For me we are able to get past the login screen, but after getting in, we cannot move past different tabs. Could the DNS configuration be the solution for the this issue too?
Any help would be appreciated.
Are you calling the new portal by it's fully qualified domain name? i.e. myportal.mycompany.com
