Hi,

As said by SAP - "You need various date modifiers if, in your enterprise, you want to define several different payment dates for various payroll areas to which you assign the same period parameters."

Example:

In your enterprise, payroll is run monthly. You want the payment date for pensioners to be the first day of the month, for industrial workers the 15th, and for salaried employees the 25th. You specify the following date modifiers:

Date modifier Description

01 Payment date on 1st day of the month

02 Payment date on 15th day of the month

03 Payment date on 25th day of the month

Hi,

you can use standard date modifier for all different pay periods.

for different pay dates you have to create different period parameters which defines different pay period frequency like monthly or weekly or bi-weekly.

you can also create new date modifiers for different pay dates. better to use standard date modifiers.

because while generating paydates you can create different paydates using PAY DAY RULE options 1,2,3,4.

like 1--add no.of days to payroll start date.

2--deduct no.of days to the payroll start date.

like this you can create different pay dates.

and pay roll area to group the employees whose payroll run on the same date and same frequency.
