I'm working with Crystal Report for Visual Studio 2010. On my form I added a CrystalReportViewer (WinForm control) for viewing the reports. When I view the main report, there's a "Main report" tab shown under the toolbar. When I drill down on a sub-report, a sub-report is displayed on another tab. Looks like there's an internal Tab control in the CrystalReportViewer for displaying different report views (main report, sub reports).
The problem is, I disabled the drill down property of sub-reports, so only one view of my report, i.e. the main report will be displayed. Is there a way to "hide" this Tab control on the CrystalReportViewer? My users find this "Main Report" tab un-necessary and want to get rid of it.
I tried not showing the Toolbar and the Status bar, but it didn't help.
Your help is much appreciated.
Thanks.
Hello,
Still no option. Add your request to Idea Place, top right menu bar above. If enough people vote for it it will be seriously looked into to add the feature...
Or if one of the PM's likes the idea they may just add the feature.

Thanks Don,
Just for the record (in case it matters), the WPF version of the viewer does things the right way (only shows the tabs if itu2019s showing drilldown details)u2026. The problem with the WPF viewer of course is that there is no option to stop drill down.
In any event.... WinForms is dead, WPF is dead..... I don't expect SAP to put any effort in fixing or enhancing any of the controls and I can't say I blame you guys for not doing it.
Thanks.
The thing is Ludek that there are some u201Cfeaturesu201D that are so obviously in need for improvement that SAP should take the indicative.
For example, letu2019s take this issue for a spin, humor me and tell me one (all I ask if for one) reason why showing the u201CMain Reportu201D tab when drill-down is not enabled makes any sense? Be honest and donu2019t come up with a silly answer, give me one serious reason why this behavior makes any sense.
I am pretty sure you wonu2019t be able to come up with one serious answer. There is a reason why the classic VB report viewer as well as the WPF viewer donu2019t behave like this, it makes no sense.
Like I said, there are some thing we should't have to submit as idea because they are just common sense.
Be honest and tell me, donu2019t you agree?
Hello Rene
Perhaps you are right. However, just because something is obvious, this should not negate taking 2 minutes to make a short post to the Idea Place(?). But, that is your choice. E.g.;
No sumission to Idea Place = vanishingly minimal chance getting a resolution no matter how obvious
Submission to Idea Place = greater chance than minimal that there will be an improvement
Regards
- Ludek
CR WPF viewer is version 1. Adding your suggestion to Idea Place and our Developers will likely add the ability.
