Major and minor version for same document number

Hi..

How to capture the major and minor version for same document number?

SAP DMS allows to maintain only one version number for a DIR at a time(on an incremental basis).All major DIR versions are tracked as revisions(effected via Engg Change Mgmt).

Would appreciate if you could spell out your requirement in detail so that a more concrete solution can be arrived at if the above input is of no aid.

Requirement is as below

Need to capture the Major versions and Minor/Internal versions in SAP DMS.

Example of Major versions: 1, 2, 3...

Example of Minor versions: 1.1, 1.2, 1.3u2026

Not possible in standard DMS. If you are looking at versioning of originals,then you may capture the version in the time stamp.
