Hi Team,

The issue with Cross domain seem to be occurring all the time. I am unable to view any xcelsuis dashboard.

[]

I notice on an earlier post you mention that this has been fixed and will be in Dec 2011 release, which is 20 days from now.

Is there some short term fix for this. cross domain issue

In short I just can not use the xcelcius model on BI on demand

Can you help or it there something extra I need to do to avoid this issue.

Any help would be appreciated

regards

Tony

Anthony,

If this is in reference to a dialog box popping open with the error message, you can close the message box and continue.

Hi Tony Foster,

Thank you for your reply, I will ignore the error message.

However, I still have an issue. "the data is not being populated from the dataset".

I have followed the step To create a new Xcelsius model

at https://resources.ondemand.com/biod/help/templates_new_xcelsius.html

however, Instead of downloading the Xcelsius sheet and adding components locally,

I have added the GRID component on the Xcelsuis on BI on demand site with a hope to see if the data is being picked up from the data set. However, no data was picked.

I am not sure what I did wrong.

Can you help

Hi Tony,

In continuation of my earlier issue.

Step 6 of Create a new Xcelsius Model I have configured "ONDEMANDWSCONNECTION" and deleted the two default connection (web service and Flashvar) and Added the Grid component with a hope to see the data

But this does not work, can you confirm this step needs to be done

Please help

Hi Tony Foster,

Thank you for taking the time to provide the document. It was very helpful.

I followed your step upto page 19 on your docement. The data is not referesh. In short no data is being displayed from the dataset. Which is a bit disappointing.

I even tried to download the xcelsius model and uploaded it again, but no luck.

I am almost there but the last bit is causing me grief. And without data being sourced the Xcelsius model is blank !!!

Can you help TF

Tony,

I would be more than happy to run a web session with you and we can look at the steps. I will be out of the office until Monday however. I If that is OK with you, can you email me at the[ support address as a reminder and with a time when you are free this coming week? Or, respond to this post and I will keep the email notification I get as a reminder.

Hello Tony's,

I'm also running into this problem. I've got the same errors but I think why we get this errors.

I've created a template with Xcelsius and created a visualization based on a dataset in the MyStuff folder.

When you publish the visualization to a My Organization folder, the visualization is still pointing to the My Stuff dataset. When I look at the visualization in the My Organization folder it works and get no error. When I login with an other account I get the error message with the cross domain policy. My 2nd account could not look into the My Stuff folfer off the 1st account.

The easy way is that SAP adjust the template settings that you can select a dataset in the My Organization folder when you create a visualization or could publish a dataset to the My Organization folder.

Kind Regards,

Dick

Hi Dick,

When you publish the visualization to your org, the dataset(s) it depends on are also published to the same org folder (assuming they have not been published previously). If you previously published those datasets to some other org folder then that is fine and that dataset should be used. The idea is that an org visulization should be pointing to an org dataset - not a mystuff dataset.

It could be that the 2nd user has access to the visualization in the org but does not have access to the dataset - could you double check on this? I don't think this would explain the crossdomain error though - I'm not sure how to explain that.

The best way to investigate this I think is to use firefox with the firebug plugin that shows the http requests being sent from the browser to the server. It might show some more detail that could be helpful.
