Asynchronous Technical Acknowledgement

I have received a requirement that a system sending in an asynchronous message inbound to PI requires a technical acknowledgement that the message was received. Is this possible?

one possible option is using CCBPM. You can create send step and specify Receiver Determination as 'Response message in reply to a previously received message'.
