Defining SLD RFC destination

Hi,

We are trying to set up SLD for a development system and having some difficulty with one of the steps. We call SM59 to define the RFC destination and follow the instructions in the Post-install guide. However, when we test the SLD Connection with SLDCHECK, we get the following error:

Properties of RFC destination SAPSLDAPI

RFC host: %%RFCSERVER%%

program id: SAPSLDAPI

gateway host: 172.16.0.5

gateway service: sapgw00

Testing the RFC connection to the SLD java client...

RFC ping returned exception with message:

program SAPSLDAPI not registered / CPIC-CALL: 'ThSAPECMINIT'

Transaction program

-

Summary: Connection to SLD does not work

=> Check SLD function and configurations

Is the problem the program ID? How can we find out what the program ID should be? Is it the program ID we set in the JCo RFC Provider settings or something else entirely?

TIA,

Rob

Hi Robert,

1.Have you added the configuration of the SAPSLDAPI

in the J2EE Engine Administrator like show in the installation guide under Server -> Services -> JCo RFC provider?

2.Have you entered Registered Server Program option?

in the rfc destination?

3. you can find the configuration in point: 8.1.1 Maintaining the HTTP Address of the SLD Server

of the configuration guide

BTW

a good place to ask question about the SLD is the Exchange Infrastructure forum

Hope this helps,

Hi Michael,

Thanks for your response. I was out of the office last week, but I'll investigate your suggestions.

Thanks.
