UCC/EAN128 for Inbound Receipts

Hi Experts

I have a client requirement to design UCC/EAN128 for Inbound shipments Without creating HU, is it possible in std SAP?

ie, I want to assign/generate UCC/EAN128 for Inbound scenario without creating HUs, is it possible in std SAP? if not, do you have any suggessions for this requirement?

Hi,

According to my knowledge without handling unit cannot have UCC/EAN128. Ididn't try you scenario so far. But try the path way. In order to embed any code with SSCC code. You need to add in the ILN basis number along with your number range.

The international location numbers (ILN) are issued by the national subsidiaries of EAN International .It contains 13 digits. The base number is the first seven numbers of ILN type 2 which acts as a basis for issuing the SSCC and material EAN usage.

This number is configured with plant storage location level wise. I think you know the IMg path.

HU>External Identification> SSCC generationac to EAN-128>Maintain SSCC generationfor each plant and storage location

You can also configure with ref to pkg material type. Thanking you.

Hi,

As per my knowledge you cannot have UCC/EAN128 for Inbound Receipts without HU. In HU-managed storage locations, materials can be managed in HUs only. Mixed stock made up of packed and non-packed materials within the same storage location are not supported. Unpacking a material from a HU means that the stock of the material is posted to a storage location that is not HU-managed.Hence you cannot maintain EAN128 for non HU. Thanking you.

Just elaborate, we do not have HU managed storage location, its only IM level storage not even SAP warehouse, so can you share your thoughts based on this.
