Hi All,

I have an issue wrt earliest retro.accounting date.

I am trying to change the hiring Date of UK employee (Ctry Grping : GB) thru PA41. when i am trying to maintain the hiring date (01.01.1993). i am getting an Error " u201CChange before earliest retro. date 01.04.1992 acc. to control rec. to py area G1u201D.

I have checked in Control record, in that the Earliest retro accounting period is 01/1992 - 01.04.1992.

But my hiring date is 01.01.1993 which is after the earliest retr accting period 01.04.1992.

Kindly require your assistace to resolve this issue.

Regards

Vish

Hi Vish,

It maybe due to the original date (29.01.1990) of your record is earlier then the earliest retro date, you can make a test case in your testing environment to confirm it

If you confirmed it is the cause, you can fix the problem by:

1) Record down the setting of the control record

2) Delete the control record and create a new one with "Earliest retro date" earlier then 29.01.1990

3) Modify your PA record

4) Delete and recreate the control record by the setting you recorded

But please notes that delete a control record is not recommended in a production environment

Wish it help

Regards

Bill
