Errors message on multi select cascading parameters: List of values failure

Have a multi select cascading parameters that is giving an error when more than 1 selection is made from the highest level of the cascading parameter. Error occurs on the selection of the second level of the cascading parameter.

Full Error message: Prompting filed with the following error message: ' List of values failure: Fail to get Values. [cause of error type mismatch]'
