How to link Online help in J2ee, Inter. Rep, Integ. Dir....?

I am trying to get the documentation link on the url http://<server>:5xx00/rep to work. This link is on the top rightside of the screen.

I found the exchange profile to link the documentation com.sap.aii.docu.url but it errors out when looking for the documentation. The url is
ahqwebfilnt\helpsource\SAPNetweaver04\DE\0F\80243B4A66AE0CE10000000A11402F\frameset.htm

We have the compressed html help loaded and we are using this same help is SAP ABAP stack which is setup in transaction SR13.

Does anyone what type of help needs to be used here?

Thanks,

Dede

Hi Dede,

As I know, the JAVA Stack can only use the PlainHtml documentation, and not the (ABAP-Stack) compressed html help.

So you also have to load the plain html docu to your fileserver and then change the url in the exchange profile to something like: "File:
<server>\<directory>\...\helpdata" (specify the path on the fileserver down to the directory right before the language directory like "DE" or "EN").

After that, the link to the documentation should work.

Thanks for the information. Could I use the help.sap.com website for the help? when I replace the current url with help.sap.com It seems to work but the language is defaulting to DE instead of EN. My ID is setup with a default language of EN.

Do you know how I can change the url to pick up the language of the user?

Thanks,

Dede

I don't think the URL is controlling the language.

Your ID (Marketplace I suppose you are referring to) is also of no importance on "help.sap.com" (public website).

So I think one of the places to maintain the language used, is de default language in your browser.

Maybe it can also be the user language of the J2EE engine, and of course the logon language used when logging on (to some of) the J2EE components (if a language is asked for).

But personal i would prefer using an "internal" link to a file-server / network-drive then an external internet link....

I found in the exchange profile that there is also a language key and I have reversed the DE and EN entries and now it defaults to EN. Until I can get the new help files loaded on our server I will use the SAP help portal for the help. It seems to work fine.

Thanks for the assistance.

Deidre,

Did you get this problem solved? I had a similar problem once at a client in Indy.
