How to retrive data of modifiable transport requests?

I know that transport requests will be writed as files in DIR_TRANS after released. Could someone tell me where is the data of modifiable transport requests before released? I want to know how to save the customized modifications if DEV environment crash.Thanks for any answers.

Data of modifiable transport resides in SAP database. Hence backing up the SAP database would solve your purpose in case of crash.

You can always go and check the version management history of the objects that are being modified.

To safeguard against system crash, you need to ensure that there is proper backup policy in place and that the system can be restored with minimal data loss.
