Import Data from csv file format to SAP tables

Hello,

I am new to SAP ABAP working since last 2 months , but now i have assigned new project where i have to upload data from csv file to SAP tables.

I don't know to do it.

Is IDocs concept is used here??

if no then is that i have to write program to import data from csv file ?

Please help me in this matter.

    Hi,

    You can use FM GUI_UPLOAD to upload a CSV file to SAP.

      Hi Sandy,

      Thanks for reply.

      Actually assignment is that SQL server database will be downloaded to csv file (continuously ).

      And we have to upload the data from csv file format in SAP Tables which are created by us.

      This is a continuous process as the csv file will get updated for every 20 mins.

      Here 2 things are happening new data + old data updates .

      i.e is whole database is to be migrate continuously.

      I don't know whether BDC process will be used or LSMW concept is used or IDoc or XI / PI concept is used.

      Please if any sample example reference if any do suggest me.

      Please help me out.
