Hi,
I have a input schedule created with EVDRE in Excel 2010
The SAP BPC version is 7.5 MS
I just wondered if it is possible to have cells that contains text say for instance detail, and field that contains date within the input schedule.
I can't seem to find any answer on the internet yet.
Thanks in advance
Best regards
Yao Bo
Hi yaoblu
You may use the EVCOM function that is part of BPC. With this function you can add comments to the selected curren view. Just go into help where you will find the details.

Since the user of this input schedule are using Excel today, and they don't want to change the design and structure of the excel sheet they are using, what i mean is it possible to use EVCOM to post comment which is typed directly in Excel Cell?
Because to me it seems like the user have to add a comment to certain cells, then use EVCOM to post it.
Hi yablou,
It is definitely possible to type comments directly in the cell and use EVCOM to send them to the database. Please find the workbook option regarding comments, one is "Excel popup" (you'd use this when you comment a figure in particular cell) and the other one allows sending text entered into a cell.
Hope this helps,
Madis

I have one more question regarding this.
Do you know if i can add EVCOM via Dimension Member Formula, Script Logic?
Since what i am making is just the template, so I'm not entirely sure how many rows I will need.
