ERP 6.0 EHP5 installation - MAIN_NEWBAS/RUN_RSAIMMERGE_UPG failed

Dear All,

during EHP5 installation for ERP 6.0 during downtime phase in MAIN_NEWBAS/RUN_RSAIMMERGE_UPG I've got such error:

Checks after phase MAIN_NEWBAS/RUN_RSAIMMERGE_UPG were negative!
Last error code set: BATCH JOB RSAIMMERGE_UPG FAILED: Error(s) found in the log(s), accumulated in "RSAIMMRG.ELG".

Finally!

I went to SPAM in shadow instance. From there I ran TP checks (in utilitues menu). There were several errors. The most problematic was 'timeout' during RPC call. It was problem with globalhostname parameter. After that connection with Oracle - because of kernel updates I've added wrong oracle client version. At the end of the day when TP check were correct - EHPi went further.

I solved it myself after these 5 days, but anyway - thanks for help

Could you please check log of this job in SM37 and if there are any dumps in ST22 related to this job?

Hi Sunny,

there is no dump in St22 and in SE37 just job with status 'Finished'. In details log I can see just: job started and job finished.

Hi,

Check SAP note 1299009 and see section MAIN_NEWBAS/Run_aimmerge_upg.

Also SAP note 1460004, 1302772 same section as your phase and 1620741.

unfortunatelly no on above notes helped me. initial_size was already set as described. Update of disp+work or even whole kernel didn't change anything...

Hi,

But one thing is confusing here, you said program RSAIMMERGE_UPG completed successfully in SM37 but as per logs you pasted above shows that this job failed. Could you please check again in the system?

That job is passed successfully, but installer says 'checks AFTER phase were negative'. In Sm37 for sure status is ok every time when I repeat the phase.

I checked on drive and file C:\usr\sap\ER1\EHPI\abap\tmp\MSGIN.LST does not exist.

Then I fount that it is created during this phase and deleted immediately after. I catch it and inside found two T100 identifiers:

currently SAP KERNEL 7.20 EXT 64-BIT UC with path level 100, but I've tried with two earlier versions of 7.20 and it changed nothing.

No chances for help? I'm considering uninstalling and importing from backup, but I'm not sure if I will not face the same issue then. Time is very important now... Is there any method to obey checks after phase or just skip this phase? Batch process was successful, so maybe that could be the solution.
