I've create a new business layer, which use sybase ASIQ 12 ODBC as the data connection, and was not able to publish it to the Repository for Explorer 4.0. I got the error of :
Publication Error : the business layer references non-secured connections
Kindly help. Thanks.
Hi folks,
The issue was be solved when created a new Data Foundation, because for create new "DF" you need define one type (Single Source or Multisource-Enabled) and "published on secured server".
See document below

I have the same error, my landscape is :
> SAP BO 4.1 SP 6 (Sever)
> Information Design Tool 4.1 / Build: 14.1.5.1501 / Version: 4.1 Support Pack 5 (Client)
My connection is SAP ERP EHP 6 between SAP BO by JCO Relational. I'll try update the Client Tools for correct this issue.

Refering to the Information Design Tool Guide, first I need to publish the data foundation, and create the short cut, and then change the connection to secure, and it works now.

If using a local version of the Relational Connection, when publishing the Universe to the server, system will report "a nonsecured connection was found in this business layer".
The Connection used in Local Projects actually is a shortcut to the real connection in "Repository Recources". Right click on the connection, choose "Create Relational Connection Shortcut" will create the shortcut.
