addition of new key figure

Hi All,

We would like a new key figure called u2018Constraintu2019. This is to be added to enable users to see the implications of using the available stock (constraint figure) rather than the forecasted figure.

How to go ahead with this ?

Look forward to your early reply.

first you need to define the keyfigure in RSD1. Once this is done you add it to the planning area.

In releases <scm5.0 you need to

    - deinitialize the planning area (take a backup before as this will delete all data)

    - add the keyfigure to the planning area

    - initialize the planning area again

    - upload the data from the backup infocube

In releases >= 5.0 you can use report /SAPAPO/TS_LCM_PAREA_CHANGE2 to add the keyfigure without deinitializing the planning area.

!!Please note that if you transport the changes the planning area in the target system always needs to be deinitialized - no matter how the keyfigure was added. So if you like to use /SAPAPO/TS_LCM_PAREA_CHANGE2 you need to change the planning area on each system seperately.

    Hi Rico,

Thank you for the quick reply.

I have 1 more query. Will it impact any data stored ?

Is there any chances of data loss?

    Best Regards.

    • Hi,

the CVC's in the POS are not affectected. If you de-initialize the planning area, all keyfigure values are lost.

In any case (also if you add the keyfigures with teh report) I STRONGLY recommend to backup the data into an infocube before.

      Best regards
